Consultation & Training
For therapists committed to professional growth
through personal work
As therapists, sometimes we’re too close to the action, too caught up in it, to see a clinical situation clearly or understand an impasse.
Sometimes we simply want to gain some knowledge or skill in a particular area and need time with someone who has the expertise we lack.
Other times, the work of being a therapist can just feel lonely or too heavy to hold on one’s own, and we want someone to bear the weight of it—or hold us while we hold our clients.
Whatever your motivation, getting consultation can be invaluable—both
for you and, ultimately, for those you serve.
I’m honored when colleagues reach out for guidance and support. I work relationally to create a safe space for them to be open and honest about their emotional reactions to clients, their clinical choices, and their professional challenges.
Often, our time together centers as much on the therapist as a person, as it does on talking about theory or brainstorming interventions.
Are you looking for a unique way to deepen self-awareness through relationships with others, expand your clinical skills, and learn about group dynamics, all while building a supportive community with other local therapists?
This weekly group combines the experiential power of a process group with the clinical focus of a supervision group—all in the service of developing each member’s “professional ego.”
Open to mental health professionals across all disciplines, training groups can be especially useful for group therapists and those who work with groups in other settings.
Whether you’re seeking help with your individual clients, a therapy group, or some other dimension of your professional development, I encourage you to reach out.
